Vice President of Marketing


The Role: 

As a confident, driven and dynamic leader, you have proven success leading a non-traditional, high-performance and highly adaptable team. You have stayed attuned to and keep up with the changing trends in the new digital age and are able to translate this knowledge into action. You possess both breadth and depth of experience and knowledge as it relates to the brand lifecycle and can quickly adapt and pivot between serving the retail customer and engaging the end consumer in an environment where ambiguity often exists. As the ideal candidate, you are both creative and analytical in your ability to problem-solve, lead, and express your ideas. You are skilled at assessing the needs of your department and in creating strategic plans that positively impact the overall organizational goals, our customers and end consumer enthusiasm and engagement.  You are driven to push boundaries, while maintaining a strategic business sense. You have the ability to remove barriers that stand in the way of achievement and maintain the goal of building productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Reporting to the President, the Job Responsibilities include:

  • Create and execute on the strategic marketing plan, focused on effectively supporting our sales team in the development of the sales funnel as well as on maximizing the capacity and scope of digital marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Establish goals and create business plans for meeting overall marketing deliverables and metrics.
  • Lead search engine marketing and paid social campaigns, be ahead of the curve with YouTube and liaising with Influencers and critically interpret the data coming from those efforts.
  • Build and lead a high-performing marketing team to deliver a full range of marketing capabilities across the organization, including; brand management, digital media management, public relations, as well as an internal team of videographers, print/web designers and copywriters.
  • Analyze market research results with Brand Managers and develop plans that maximize potential marketing channels for the best return.
  • Proactively collaborate with stakeholders to ensure information is shared across departments to maintain alignment and promote shared accountability.
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality, accountability and alignment.
  • Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach on a consistent basis.


  • Post-secondary degree or master’s degree in marketing plus at least seven (7) years experience in a senior marketing role
  • Solid track record in developing and implementing successful marketing strategies and the ability to lead a team in achievement of required objectives
  • Solid experience in successfully managing a team to execute in a first-to-market business model where the creative aspect of marketing is in-house (ie video, photography)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and work in a team environment, relating to people across all levels of the organization and motivating them towards the achievement shared goals and objectives
