Pour the following ingredients into a bowl:
1 packet of unflavored gelatin
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup water
3 tbsp. corn syrup
4 cups birdseed
Mix well and spoon mixture into the cookie cutters. Pack it down to make sure it’s smooth.
Cut your straw into pieces and push one into each mold – make sure it goes all the way to the bottom because this is where you’ll put your ribbon through once completed.
Leave for 3 hours before removing them from the cookie cutters. Once removed, we let ours sit overnight to completely harden before we removed the straws.
Remove the straws, string ribbon through the hole and hang them outside!
Encourage kids to keep track of how many birds visit their feeder. Don’t forget to collect the ribbons once all the seeds have been eaten.
